Pages & Rich Content Editor (ESSENTIAL)

Pages .w3.jpg

Pages are where you can put content and educational resources that are part of your course but do not necessarily belong in an assignment, or that you want to refer to in multiple assignments. This is a place where you can include text, video, and links to your files. You can even make links to other pages. Canvas keeps the entire history of the page so you can see how it changes over time.

Rich Content Editor

Canvas has a simple, yet powerful, content editor that is available anytime for creating new content. The Rich Content Editor is used in features that support the editor (Announcements, Assignments, Discussions, Pages, Quizzes, or Syllabus).

Although clean and streamlined, the Rich Content Editor is sophisticated enough to support embedding any video content, math formula, and other rich media.

NB: Everyone at the VU has a VU Google account (your account name is your VU or ACTA email address). Always make sure you are using your VU Google account - and not your personal account - when using Google Drive in Canvas. Click here

for a step by step instruction on how to do this.

NB: The Google Drive tool might be disabled (i.e. not visible) for your course, and you might have to enable the tool using the Course Settings > Navigation function in your course. For more information see: Course Navigation (ESSENTIAL).
