How do I use MarkDown

It is possible to use Markdown as a formatting language within the Rich Content Editor. If you want to use it, you can follow the following steps.

First time use

  • Navigate to the content you want to edit
  • Open the content in Edit mode
  • Click the plug-icon in the toolbar of the Rich Content Editor (RCE)

  • Click View all and select Markdown from the list that appears
    • Select Markdown from the app list
  • Enter your text formatted in Markdown in the popup that appears

After using Markdown once, the Markdown option is available directly from the toolbar.

Editing content created with Markdown

To edit content you’ve earlier created with Markdown, it is necessary to select the text you want to edit first and then click the Markdown button in the toolbar. This loads the selected text in the Markdown editor and you are able to edit the text.

If you forget to select the text, you’ll get an empty editor. Text added here will be inserted into you content at the location of your cursor.
