Biology Quiz

This is the entry test for biology of the Master Bioinformatics and Systems Biology Master at the Vrije Universiteit. 

The purpose of this test is to allow you to assess your proficiency in biology, one of the three core fields of knowledge you are expected to learn early on in the Master. These questions are generally geared towards understanding cellular biology, although some questions from other sub-fields are sprinkled in. If you don't know any biology yet - no worries! There are resources you can use to get a better understanding of biology. Some we recommend are:

If you don't know the answers to the questions, we recommend that you check out a few of the resources mentioned before to ease yourself into biology before starting the Master. This will make your first few weeks a lot easier. The level of the questions presented are what we expect you to know at the end of the first period, so no worries if you don't know everything before starting your studies.

It is not required to pass this test before starting the Master, although we do recommend practising if you notice your performance on this test is low.
