Media Toolkit: Lighting
For recording a nice video, the lighting conditions are important. You can't always control the lighting situation in the recording environment. However, some elements can be taken into account usually.
Avoid backlight or sidelight by positioning the person you are recording in the right direction.
Diffused light versus direct light: avoid harsh shadows. Try to find a spot with more diffused lighting. Sometimes you can modify the light by adding a reflecting surface.
Color temperature: keep the color temperature of your recordings consistent. Try to avoid mixing daylight situations and indoor situations. However, the color temperature of a recording can be corrected in video editing software.
